Plain-language summary: Wavelengths lets you go live and chat with people in your browser. Be respectful, follow the law, and you must be at least 13. We can suspend accounts that break these rules. This summary isn't a substitute for the full terms below.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Wavelengths (the "Service"), operated by [Company] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wavelengths. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others;
- Share content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts or exploits minors;
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Distribute spam, scams, malware, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
4. Live streams and user content
You are solely responsible for the audio, video, chat, and other content you transmit ("User Content"). Wavelengths streams video and audio peer-to-peer between participants; you grant us the limited rights necessary to operate the Service (for example, relaying or displaying your content to other participants in a room). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
Because streams are live and peer-to-peer, other participants may see or hear what you share. Do not share anything you wouldn't want a participant to record or repeat.
5. Moderation and enforcement
We may review reported content and, at our discretion, remove content, close rooms, or suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe harm other users or the Service. Where practical we aim to act proportionately, but we may act without prior notice for serious or urgent violations.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using the Service you agree to that policy.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that peer-to-peer connections will succeed on every network.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Company] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
